What’s new in food? What happens when trends collide? We’re going to talk about that over the next couple of weeks. But I’m going to start right here in Chicago today, in the local Pilsen neighborhood, where I want to talk about multiple trends like local neighborhood, global flavors and street food. And nobody, nobody does that better in Chicagoland neighborhoods than La Michoacana Premium.

Part of what makes this place so special is the variety of ice creams and snacks and just colorful treats that are kind of an explosion of the senses that you can try.

Speaking of on trend, everybody’s doing boozy milkshakes these days. Well these guys originated that and they’ve got ice cream bars that are infused with different kinds of liquors, including tequila.

So whether in New York, Chicago, LA, Houston, or all areas in between, get out to the local communities, see what’s going on there. Check out the local fare, check out the local street food. Try something you’ve never tried before, like Mexican cookie ice cream. You’ll understand why these trends are coming together and why so many people enjoy them, and how food and trends just bring us together.

So snacks, street food, local, global, it all comes together in this one special place, and that’s what’s new in food.
