Giving Tuesday

‘Tis the season of community enrichment, giving thanks and giving back, and Esrock Partners decided it was the perfect time to exercise our generosity.

GivingTuesday started as a nonprofit in 2012 in New York City and has since blossomed into something much greater—a movement of empathy and generosity. With support from philanthropies like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as corporations such as Google and PayPal, GivingTuesday has changed how we organize and give back to our communities.

This year, our Esrockers pulled together to host a canned foods drive, where our team members could donate nonperishable foodstuff, and boy, did they deliver! We collected two-and-a-half car-trunks full of goods for the local HCS Family Services Food Pantry. Even our remote employees sent items in to give!

We love giving back, and we want to share some ways that you can help your community, whether it’s GivingTuesday or any other day. Here are some ideas to get your started:

  1. Donate unused books to a Little Free Library (or start one!)
  2. Give to a local food bank
  3. Practice random acts of kindness
