Project Management Director
Esrock is searching for an experienced project management director to add to our growing team. The primary role of the project management director is to provide leadership, management, and accountability to the Project Management function of the agency. In addition to the primary function, there are several other areas of responsibility that a project manager needs to be comfortable with.
Vision and leadership: Ability to manage the team, processes and procedures, and how the agency project management machine works. Provide leadership to the team by example of expertise, in best practices and guide ethical decisions. Be available to and know your team's hopes and dreams, and ensure everyone is trained, mentored, inspired, happy, and growing. You need to have passion, dig deep, have a plan, and have a point of view to future-proof the team.
Relationships: Ability to cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and outside partners. Ensures all relations are positive and stable, collaborating and communicating regularly. You are an empathetic leader and not a lone wolf.
Project management: Demonstrates superior knowledge and understanding of agency, creative, production, and vendor processes and tools, including which roles are involved in the different phases of a project. Ability to be extremely organized, detailed, and have an analytical, yet creative mindset.
Talk khaki: Ability to speak business and not just agency project workflow speak. You need to understand the client’s business and the industry.
Entrepreneurial: Ability to align project requests to workflow processes and appropriate resources in an efficient way that is profitable to the agency.
Problem-solving: Ability to be a creative problem solver, adept at anticipating problems, recognizing opportunities, and thinking logically while maximizing efficiencies via multitasking.
Resourcing: Ability to manage agency human capital, working diligently to collaborate with team leads, continuously updating schedules, and adjusting team and individual workloads to ensure client projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Hustle: Ability to be ever-present, pushing yourself and others, by being aggressive and a go-getter.
Mentor: Ability to coach and mentor your team. You need to have an understanding of where empathy meets anger management, and managing individual personalities and egos. You need to know your team's hopes and dreams, and ensure everyone is inspired, happy, and growing.
